ADOT on KAZM
The SR 179 Improvement Project will be featured on KAZM AM 780 at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, discussing details on construction at the Y. The show will be repeated at 12:15 p.m.
Communications During Construction
ADOT uses a variety of techniques, tailored to the community and users of the road, to make sure the public is aware and updated on construction activities. These include:

- The Hotline (800-529-2876)
- The Website (www.scenic179.com)
- The Weekly Update also is faxed to a broad distribution list including statewide concierges, tour operators, trucking companies, AAA and other tour organizations, etc.
An open house called Construction Chat is held the first Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 a.m., so the community can get information and updates from ADOT on the construction schedule and details. Beginning in May 2008, the location will be the Sedona-Oak Creek School District Board Room at 221 Brewer Road in Sedona.
The local media also gets updates on a regular basis, and the SR 179 Speakers Bureau is available for community groups that want a speaker on the construction details and schedule.
