Welcome to the State Route (SR) 179 Project Weekly Construction Update - your electronic connection to the SR 179 Project with the most current information on construction plans and activities.

Please note: Changes to construction plans can happen frequently due to weather, equipment availability and personnel issues. We try to anticipate construction activities a week in advance but changes may occur. Intermittent lane closures, with short delays, may not always be known in advance.

What to watch for week of December 22-January 1:

On behalf of the State Route 179 improvement project, we would like to wish you and your families a safe and wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.

There will be no construction activities from December 22-January 1.

Please be safe and buckle up and remember our other safety tips when traveling through the construction zones:

Slow down in construction zones and obey the posted speed limits.
Obey directions by flag people or emergency workers.
Stay focused on driving and avoid looking at the construction project.
Always leave plenty of space between your vehicle and other people and equipment parked at construction locations.
Big pipes, ditches and the construction equipment are barricaded with temporary fence. No crossing of temporary fencing is allowed.
