Bell Rock Boulevard Restrictions

The construction team plans to work in the vicinty of Bell Rock Boulevard between Christmas and New Years.  Two way traffic will be maintained, however, the intersection will be narrowed to provide a work zone for the team.

The new southbound road in the Forest is in the final stages of work and two-way traffic will be switched soon to that side so work can begin on rebuilding the northbound alignment.  ADOT worked hard with the community during 2004 and 2005 to define this new alignment, so that it would "lay lightly on the land," consistent with our commitment to "Context Sensitive Design".  The result is a breathtaking new road with spectacular new views, as seen in these photos taken by Sedona City Councilman and Village Business owner John Bradshaw from the new scenic outlook at Yavapai Point.

Underground Work in Village Nearing Completion

The underground catch basin are nearly complete in the Village, which visibly cleans up the work zone and makes way for crews to focus in January on completing the curb, gutter, roundabouts, medians, and paving.  The Cortez roundabout will be the next to open, followed by the roundabout at Bell Rock Boulevard.
