Two Way Traffic is Flowing and Business Access is Open

As we begin to gear up for tourist traffic, and especially Superbowl traffic, please keep in mind and tell your friends and visitors that two-way traffic continues to flow and access to all businesses is open.

Cortez Roundabout Completion

Paving began this weekend at Cortez and crews expect to have the intersection complete by the end of this week.  Cortez remains closed with detours in place on the west side of SR 179.  Watch for detour signs to guide you to your destination at that location.

Once the Cortez roundabout is functional, the raised median will be installed between Jack’s Canyon and Cortez, and work will focus on completing the fifth and final roundabout of Project 1 at Bell Rock Boulevard.

Driveway, Curb, and Gutter Work Continues

Crews continue to work on curb, gutter, and driveways, generally working south to north.  The concrete work should not cause traffic backups. There may be brief periods of limited driveway access while the driveways are poured, the concrete is allowed to cure, and the paving equipment moves by the driveway to pave. We thank you for your patience as we complete these final items in the Village.

Please note: Changes to construction plans can happen frequently due to weather, equipment availability and personnel issues. We try to anticipate construction activities a week in advance but changes may occur. Intermittent lane closures, with short delays, may not always be known in advance.
